Air conditioning and marine cooling

The climate conditions and the salt water environment are significantly different from the land environment where there are relatively uniform conditions.
Sea water causes corrosion. The temperature differences affect the performance of the air conditioning systems in a significant way and the maintenance conditions require periodic inspections and treatments in order to maintain the usability and integrity of the systems.

Fahrenheit Systems performs routine maintenance and service work on vessels. The cooling systems and the air conditioning systems undergo periodic renovations, replacement of compressors, replacement of rotten piping sections, and replacement of heat exchangers.

Recently, the company also replaced DX batteries in air conditioning units in the command bridge and the control room. The new batteries were coated with marine clay - a material that provides maximum protection against the harsh environmental conditions at sea.
